Storm Sound Studio in Orkney keeps Phil Anderson employed on a full time basis, not only with Mariner projects but also producing albums for other labels and artistes. Phil ( second from right in above pic) has been a professional musician for many years and does much of the playing and programming himself although other first rate session players help out when required. Storm Sound offers a 48 track digital recording system with comprehensive MIDI and outboard processing equipment, big name microphones etc. Two windowed booths are wired to the control room to enable practical live sessions.

Three Peace Sweets first album was released in June 1999 and within days proved to be the island's fastest ever seller. Moray Firth Radio awarded it 'Celtic Album of the Year' and the band were asked to represent Scotland at the Millennium Dome in addition to appearing at several recognized festivals. The musical style is incredibly diverse, generally energetic contemporary Celtic folk music with a few ballads for contrast. Fiddle tunes, bagpipes, vocals, latin rhythms and more all appear here and the band perform an updated version of Orkney's most famous song, "Lonely Scapa Flow."

The idea of Skalded transpired as a result of Andy & Phil playing an acoustic set at a friend’s wedding. While already recognised as an accomplished fiddle player and composer, Andy had thoughts about writing music to traditional Orkney poems, the results of which can be heard here amongst the ever-popular instrumental tracks. Phil plays a variety of instruments and sings the majority of the songs. In days gone by, local poets were referred to as Skalds which inspired the album title.
