designed this unique pattern in 1987 it was one of the
first garmentsthat she made. It represents Viking Runes or you
could call it Viking Graffiti ! Runes are found in the Neolithic tomb
of
Maeshowe on the Orkney mainland.
Dont worry translated it simply says " Orkney" in Runic writing.
Made by one of Island knitters from soft Scottish lambswool
and finished by hand.
