Visit Judiths Real Food Cafe
Judith opened her Real Food Cafe at the back of her Kirkwall shop which is situated opposite St Magnus Cathedral in April 2011.
Everything is cooked on the premises using Orkney Produce in the open kitchen, so customers can actually watch their food being made.
What customers eat is also available to buy in the front shop. You can sit on comfortable wooden farmhouse chairs and tables and even sit on one of our real Orkney chairs !
We are open in the evenings during the summertime, Xmas and on weekends in the winter. You can relax and enjoy a glass of good wine with an exclusive wine list devised by Duncan McLean from Orkneys Wool & Wine Shop or have a local beer brewed in Orkney.
There is a daily menu cooked by Paula Rendall our fantastic head cook - with blackboard specials such as parsnip and sweet potato soup, Beef & Ale Hotpot, locally dived scallops in garlic butter , Seafood Platter or homemade local crab cakes.
Foodie events are also held such as "Special Orkney Produce Evenings" - highlighting particular local producers, Fish & Fizz Nights, local Chef Evenings and Orkney Festival Events.
