Judith Glue Permanent Sales Retail Assistant 21hrs plus a week 
We are looking for an enthusiastic sales person to work in our Orkney shop. You must be sales and customer service driven and enjoy working with the public. Hours will vary and start from 21hrs per week contract up to 35hrs in the busy summer. You would be required to work some evenings from June to September when we are open later plus either Saturday or Sunday all year round. Any previous retail experience would be a great advantage and wage depends on age and experience.

Inverness Shop Manager 35hrs weekly
We are offering an exciting unique opportunity to manage our retail outlet in Inverness. The company has been established for 37 years in Orkney and opened its second outlet in Inverness on Bridge Street in 2010.

Job Description
You must be an enthusiastic communicator and a proven team leader, able to give and receive constructive feedback, who will report closely with the General Business Manager in Orkney on a daily basis.
You must have at least 2 yrs previous managerial experience in retail and be experienced in merchandising.
Have a strong commercial outlook enhancing our company's reputation in the local Inverness market place and be able to contribute new marketing ideas by pro-actively seeking new opportunities that improve our customers experience with a high level of customer satisfaction.
Be able to strongly manage, motivate and inspire a close knit team, creating an environment that encourages teamwork while meeting the company's sales targets and leading the team towards success.
You must be be passionate about great service and always train your team to put the customer first and communicate and understand the company's clear vision to be creative and welcoming in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.
Local knowledge of the area is essential, including an awareness of the local art and craft scene in the Highlands and Islands, liner visitors and tourism guides. Any connections with Orkney, where the company is based, would be an advantage.
You must be computer literate and be very familiar with social media and ensure the store is promoted online on a daily basis.

This position is for 35 hours per week and will include weekends and some evenings over our busy periods. You may be required to work extra paid hours over busy periods.

Work closely with General Manager in Orkney to deliver strong operational performance
Ensure staff rota reflect the stores trading patterns and optimise opportunities
Ensure instore compliances are adhered

The new manager will be required to meet company growth targets for our Inverness store, if these targets are met there will be an opportunity for a  wage review after 12 months.
The wage per annum is £18,018 plus pension benefits and 28 Days Holiday allowance per annum.
