Jane MacDonald is a designer based in Inverness. There's a shrub in Jane's garden called 'Pieris'. It has yellow spear-shaped leaves that turns a vibrant pink in the autumn. She drew all the motifs as separate shapes, using different colours for each leaf and then arranged them into a repeating pattern, using a co-ordinating colour for the background.
Jane uses a process called sublimation to transfer her original designs to these aluminium, semi circular earrings.
