The Judith Glue Shop and Real Food Cafe/Restaurant in Orkney
Judith was born and bred in the Orkney Islands and started out when she was 18. You can read about Judith here of follow her blog on starting your own business.
Judith moved to her large shop (2,200sq ft ) opposite St. Magnus Cathedral in the centre of Kirkwall in 1979. She is a knitwear designer and her Orkney Knitwear collection is made locally in the Islands by her small band of skilled knitters and finishers and the final touches are done in the workshop by Cathy which is situated behind the shop and her Real Food Cafe/Restaurant.
There is something for all ages in the shop, many customers call it 'An Aladdin's Cave' and Judith loves to find unique and unusual products that our customers simply just love!
Customers often browse in the shop and choose to eat in The Real Food Cafe and Restaurant which is open in the evening in the summer. In the summertime you can enjoy live music with youngsters busking outside and sample free Orkney food tastings.
