The Real Food Cafe and Restaurant in Orkney
Judith opened The Real Food Cafe and Restaurant at the back of her Kirkwall shop in April 2011.
Everything is cooked on the premises in the open kitchen so customers can actually watch their food being made.The idea of Judith's Real Food Cafe is to use as much local fresh Orkney produce as possible as it is very important to know what is on your plate and where it is sourced from.
Our menu is served day and evening and we have a specials board that changes daily and again in the evenings. Our local food and drink produce is also available to buy in the front shop. The Cafe Restaurant seats up to 34 people and on a good day in the summer, the side door can be opened onto extra outdoor seating.
Customers can sit on comfortable farmhouse chairs at chunky wooden tables and even have a try sitting on one of our original Orkney chairs!
We are licenced and children are very welcome accompanied with adults day and evening.
Relax and enjoy a glass of good wine with an exclusive wine list devised by Duncan McLean or have a local beer made by The Orkney Brewery or Rob Hills Swannay Brewery or even a nip of local malt whisky from Highland Park or Scapa Distillery.
During November and December we have an evening Xmas Menu
We also provide outside and inhouse catering for parties, conferences, celebrations and gatherings.
