Judith Glue Real Food Cafe - Comments

Our Real Food Cafe is open 7 days a week.

Everything is cooked on the premises in the open kitchen and you can watch your food being made in front of you. The idea of Judith's Real Food Cafe is to use as much local fresh Orkney produce as possible as it is very important to know what is on your plate and where it is sourced from.

Judith Glue quickly became my favourite shop in Kirkwall, with its huge range of local crafts and produce (I particularly liked the artwork of Judith’s sister Jane) . The Real Food Cafe serves superb coffee and I can heartily recommend the soup and bere bannock. The staff are friendly and welcoming too.

We love the Judith Glue Real Food Cafe because; it’s open when other cafes are closed, you can walk in off the street, the food is always lovely and the staff are always friendly. It’s our favourite place to have our cuppie when we are in Orkney!

We stopped for lunch and had the most fabulous crab sandwiches which were stuffed with tasty crab and the brown bread was thick cut, fresh and so delicious. Just what we needed along with a pot of tea. We didn’t have room for cake but they did look tempting. Please keep doing what your doing, your food is fabulous, staff very helpful and friendly and the surroundings are clean and tidy. We look forward to visiting you again, gosh mouth watering just thinking about our lunch.

When we have stressful lives there is nothing better than taking time out and having a coffee, with a cheeky piece of cake, or a lovely home cooked lunch in Judith Glues. Beautiful fresh produce, cooked with love is not complete unless it is served with as much care and attention – thankyou and please keep up these great high standards
