Moonshine Candle Co. was founded by Catherine Leask in 2020. 

"Moonshine Candle Co. was founded in my mother’s kitchen during lockdown—a time when life slowed, and Orkney’s serene landscapes became a daily source of reflection. After losing my job in Edinburgh due to the pandemic, I returned home to visit family in the Orkney Islands, seeking comfort in the simple rituals of island life."

Catherine's passion flourished into her beautifully artisanal business, which explores the raw beauty of the Orkney landscape through the journey of scents.  

Each collection is masterfully hand-poured in small batches and is made from 100% vegan, cruelty-free soy wax and ingredients free from paraffin and phthalates.
