Rackwick Sea Grass Fingerless Mittens
These lovely fingerless mittens have been designed by Judith Glue and have been influenced by the colours and textures have been influenced by the beautiful Sea Grass which is a flowering plant which form meadows under the sea in shallow coastal areas. The meadows are extremely important as hosts for many different animals. Mapping has been on going in Orkney for a few years where there is a key part of the work to protect this valuable marine ecosystem happening.
They are beautifully made in Orkney by one of her experienced knitters based in their own home, this traditional fair isle pattern is made with Scottish lambswool with a mix of Italian boucle and mousse yarn with a touch of cashmere.
