Rackwick Wild Lupin Poncho
This poncho has been designed by Judith Glue and the colours of fields of wild purple lupins there was an attempt to grow wild lupins in Orkney in the mid 20th Century as a livestock protein but it did not progress , but you will still see these tall flowers growing wild in some parts as you travel round the Isles.
It is beautifully made in Orkney by one of her experienced knitters based in their own home, this traditional fair isle pattern is made with Scottish lambswool with a mix of Italian boucle and mousse yarn with a touch of cashmere.
