Scottish Butter Tablet - featuring caramelised gold chocolate!
Butter tablet is the Scottish version of fudge. Traditionally made with sugar, butter and condensed milk, it has a distinctive texture and flavour all of it's own. We have called upon a neighbour, Ross's of Edinburgh, to supply us with their authentic Scottish tablet for this bar. They have been making Scottish sweeties for over 130 years, and their tablet is delicious creamy with a lovely buttery flavour. We have combined the tablet with a mixture of white and 'gold' chocolate. Gold chocolate is white chocolate that's been made with caramelised sugar and caramelised milk, and has rich notes of toffee, butter, cream and a dash of salt. It's golden fudge-like colour makes this bar look uncannily like tablet too!
A perfect bar if you have a sweet tooth - this bar is sweetness with a capital S!
